Freehand

Freehanding is not for everyone; the client and artist have to connect for it to work. The artist must know the design with immaculate confidence, and the client must have even more trust. Not all tattoos should be freehanded but some couldn't be done properly any other way. For large, flowing tattoos that cover multiple body panels, freehand opens the artist beyond their paper. For coverups and gap-fillers, they let the artist see the area with no limits.
